Suggest the choice of Stay

Hello,
I am traveling with my family ( wife and 7 years old son) and need an advise if I should stay in Kyoto or Kyoto and Osaka as per below:-
Option1 :-
Tokyo - 5 nights stays ( Tokyo to Hakone day trip, Mt. Fuji day trip, SOka University day trip)
Kyoto - 6 nights ( Kyoto to Osaka day trip ; Kyoto to Horoshima day trip)
Kyoto to Tokyo airport by return train

OR option - 2
Tokyo - 5 nights stays ( Tokyo to Hakone day trip, Mt. Fuji day trip, SOka University day trip)
Kyoto - 4nights
Osaka - 2 nights

What all one could possible explore in Kyoto and Osaka OR should i stay longer in Tokyo.

Osaka - Tokyo airport by train return

I will appreciate if the sane can be answered
