Three of us will be traveling by train/bus from Tokyo to Kyoto and back to Tokyo. Our itinerary includes: Yudanaka, Matsumoto, Okayama, Kanazawa and Kyoto. We will be traveling from April 14-28 and would like advice as to whether we should buy a 7-day or 14-day JR pass. Will it include bus transfers we need to take?

Hello there,
You will be traveling quite a lot and generally, I would advise a 14 day JR Pass here (though I can't say for sure, without seeing the day-by-day route).
The JR Pass covers nearly all of the above travel, with the exception of the last part to Yudanaka from Nagano station.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
