Trying to figure out how a family of 4 can travel the most economical way between cities. I don't know which JR pass to get. Please help!!!

Tentative plans:

Arrive Narita, 12/18

Kyoto 12/18 - 12/20

Hiroshima 12/20 -12/22

Osaka 12/22 - 12/24

Shizuoka Mt. Fuji 12/24 - 12/26

Nagano 12/26 -12/29

Tokyo 12/29 - 1/2

Hi there,

I recommend using a 14 day JR Pass. You will be travelling quite a lot of distance with visits to Kyoto, Hiroshima, Shizuoka and Nagano and a 14 day JR Pass will help you get outstanding savings compared to purchasing normal tickets.

You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
