Hi
Myself and three friends are visiting in October 2019 for the RWC.

We are planning to be in Japan between the 4th Oct and departing 21st.

We are planning to spend 6 days in and around Tokyo then moving onto Yokohama, Shizuoka back to Yokohama.

In the final week we are travelling onto Oita via Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Fukuoka.

We plan to travel back to Tokyo on Sunday to depart Narita late morning on Monday 21st.

Few questions

Should we buy a two week JRP pass or purchase individual tickets for our trips

Can we catch a Bullet train and see Mt Fuji

Could we get back to Tokyo on the 20th from Fukuoka by train (if so how long is it) or should we fly back

Hi there,

A "Japan Rail Pass":https://www.jrpass.com/buy-the-japan-rail-pass-online for 14 days would be very cost effective option for going to Oita and Fukuoka especially. You can use the Shinkansen to travel between most cities and save big compared to normal tickets.

You can take the train from Fukuoka - Tokyo but it does take about 7 hours in one go. Cost wise using a JR Pass here is very good.

You can also see Fuji from the Shinkansen when the train curves around Fuji and passes the stations of Atami, Odawara and Mishima.
