What train do I need to take from Haneda Airport to Kyoto? And how far is it to Fushimi Inani Taisha (Shinto Shrine), Kiyomizu dera and kinkaku-ji ? Does it take 2 days to visit these tourist attractions?

Hi there,

First travel from Haneda Airport to Tokyo station, from there you can use the Hikari Shinkansen to Kyoto.

You could visit Fushimi Inani Taisha (Shinto Shrine), Kiyomizu dera and kinkaku-ji in one day, if you leave early and plan it out.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

These tourist attractions has a lot of walking correct? This will be my first trip in Japan and I would like to know if I need to stay and make a reservation on one of the nearest hotel for 1 day. Which hotel will you recommend? Is the JRPass will cover the roundtrip travel(back to Tokyo station) or do I need to pay an extra fee both ways? Do I need to use a bullet train ? And what time is the earliest train that I can take from Tokyo station and the last departure time from Kyoto Station to Haneda Airport.
Do I need to make a reservation in advance (train) so I can make sure that I have seat when I travel in Kyoto.

Hi there,

Yup! be sure to bring good shoes for walking in Japan. The JR Pass will cover you travel to Kyoto and back to Tokyo completely. I don't have the exact last train as it may depend on what day you travel. Generally the last train would depart around 830-900pm from Kyoto that is included in the JR Pass.

Seat reservations can be made on the day of travel.

Kind regards,
Daniel
