Hi,

I am traveling from Niseko to Hukuba, with a stopover at Aomori.

If I buy a Green pass, will I be allowed to cary a large ski bag?
Do I need to book?
Will they charge extra for the bag?

Thank you for your help.

Susie

Hi Susie,

Although the Green Pass does not allow for extra luggage, I don't think that this should be a problem.

Luggage rules are as follows:

You may bring up to two pieces of baggage on board free of charge. For each bag the total of the length, width and height must not exceed 250 centimeters, the length must not exceed two meters and the weight must be no more than 30 kilograms. Luggage does not have to be booked.

It may be refused, if your luggage does not comply with this. Although it is not strictly enforced, as it is at the airport.

You could look at luggage forwarding services such as Takuhaibin by Yamamote transport. It also saves you the trouble of carrying it.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
