8/19 - Tokyo - Kamikochi
8/21 - Kamikochi - Tokyo
8/22 - Tokyo - Koyasan
8/25 - Koyasan - Shimoda
8/28 - Shimoda - Tokyo
8/29 - Depart from Narita

Hi there,

The difference is quite small but I think a 7 day JR Pass could be useful from 8/22 to 8/28. You can use the JR Pass to travel by Shinkansen to Osaka and most of the way to Shimoda. Both Shimoda and Koyasan are in remove areas and other local travel will be required to travel the last couple of miles.

Would any of the alternative itineraries be more economical? Just looking for the cheapest option between the original itinerary and the two posted below.
