I'm visiting Osaka for 7 days .Going to Kyoto,Kobe & Nara for day trip.Worth purchasing the JR pass?And does the JR pass cover the local metro?

Hi there,
Stick to local tickets for this one. Kyoto/Osaka/Kobe and Nara are all closely located in the Kansai region. Travel within Kansai is low cost and generally passes are better used for longer routes.
The pass does not cover the metro, however you may purchase a metro day pass in Osaka.
