With the pass you're able to use rain, metro and buses it seems to be well explained how to travel around Tokyo but I'm not sure about Kyoto and Osaka. Other than the bullet train are there trains a metro and buses you can use in both of these cities?

Hi there,
The JR Pass is valid on all JR lines nation wide, local JR buses and the ferry to Miyajima.
Other transport like the metro/subway and buses run other companies are not included.
