Hi there,

Luckily with the Rail Pass you can hop onto any train you need, so you don't have to be perfect with your planning.

You can look up train timetables and costs for all of your legs at the Hyperdia travel planning website and learn how to use Hyperdia for Japan Rail Pass holders through our video blog.

Here are some thoughts on your route for you to be aware of:

  1. I cover the ferry crossing timetable and map from Miyajimaguchi station to the port in this post.

  2. Kyoto to Toyama should be a fairly simple trip and will be possible in a day. sample itinerary.

  3. Toyama to Narita will be a bigger trip, but possible provided you give yourself enough time. Here's a sample itinerary.

Hope this helps!
