Tokyo to Sapporo

Hi

I am planning to visit Japan in May for 9 days
Places to visit are:
Tokyo
Hitachi
Ashikaga wisteria
Sapporo for Cherry blossom

Please advise which JR pass is the best to cover my trip

Hi,

I suggest you look at a JR East South Hokkaido Rail Pass. Both Ashikaga Flower Park and the Hitachi Seaside Park are about 2 hours from Tokyo. You could go from one to the other in the same day but that would take an additional 3 hours. Seven hours on a train in one day is not really recommended. I suggest you stop off somewhere in between the parks and Sapporo also - like Hakodate. It has some beautiful cherry blossoms there.
