Hello!
I am planning to use the 7-day pass during my stay in Japan and I have a few questions.
I am arriving at Narita airport and will take NEX to Tokyo Station. That is included in the pass, right?

What is the easiest way from Tokyo to Osaka, can I take the Shinkansen? Do I need to reserve seats?

And finally, can you recommend any sites for checking timetables etc for traveling in Japan (with JR)?

Thank you for your time!

Hi Jonas,

To start with your last question first, I'd recommend using Hyperdia to look up timetables, route information and things related. It's a great resource and completely free and in English. Hyperdia displays a lot of information and can take some time to get used to, I'd recommend reading our Blog Post on How to plan with Hyperdia to get you started.

The JR Pass includes the Narita Express and Shinkansen to Osaka. Seat reservations are not required for the Shinkansen but it is recommended. Simply because it makes travel more convenient. We also got you covered when it comes down to seat reservations with this blog post, giving you all the details on how to go about it.

I hope this helps!
