Hey guys!
I'm trying to figure out what is covered by the JR pass and whether I should be getting the 7 or 14 pass. I would appreciate if you could clarify my understanding.
Here is my itinerary:
Day 1 to 5: Arrive in Tokyo and straight to Shinjuku. One day visit to DisneySea, One day visit to Mount Fuji
Day 6: Shinjuku to Nagano
Day 7: Nagano to Osaka
Day 8, 9, 10: From Osaka, take day trips to Kyoto and Universal Studio
Day 11: Osaka to Kansai Airport
Tokyo-Nagano-Osaka-Kyoto
Hello there,
I think that the best option here would be to go for normal rail tickets.
The most expensive routes are:
Tokyo to Nagano: ¥ 8,200
Nagano to Osaka ¥ 11,790
and all your other travel is relatively local and low cost. With this in mind, a JR Pass would not help you make savings. You can use our JR Farecalculator to get an estimate for your whole itinerary.
Kind regards,
Daniel
