hi was just wondering if it would be beneficial to use a JR pass when in toyko central?

we are also wanting to visit, osaka and mt fuji.

and from my understanding if i use a JR pass the narita express is free too

Hi there,

The JR Pass is valid on all JR lines in Tokyo, such as the Yamanote loop line and JR Central (Chuo) line. The Tokyo Metro however is not included.

When considering a JR Pass, its best to look at the longer routes, such as Tokyo - Osaka. This route alone costs as much as a 7 day JR Pass and I would use one here for sure. The Narita Express is also included.
