Hello there,

Getting a JR Pass for your itinerary is without a doubt a good idea. Traveling to Osaka, Hiroshima and Kyoto is expansive without the JR Pass and you can make good savings over normal tickets this way.

The JR Pass will cover travel between all of the above places, however you may still need local transport within Hakone and other cities.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
