Hi,

I will travel to japan from 27 march to 5 april '16. And I will use JRPass at 28 march. However, I want to try sunrise train seto or izumo from tokyo to himeji at 27 march. Can I buy the normal ticket from tokyo-shizuoka(arrive at shizuoka at 00.30, 28 march) and then I use JRPass from shizuoka to himeji?

If I can, do I have to get off the train?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Leo

Hi Leo,

Yes, you can do that but be sure to explain to the JR Staff in detail what you want to do. As this is not a common request.

You can stay on the train. I am not sure how much the Fare would be from Tokyo - Shizuoka, this may still be quite a bit.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi Daniel-san,

Thank you for your fast response..
Do you know where I can find the information about the price? I have search for it in the internet but I can not found any. Is the ticket rate flat or it depends on the destination length?

Thank you,
Leo
