  16. Kamakura > Odawara: ¥740, (57mins, 41km)
  17. Odawara > Tokyo: ¥1450, (36mins, 83km)

  • 14 day rail pass (¥45,100) saving: ¥44,730

Non-JR travel

The only part of your journey where you'll need to purchase more travel is for local metro and possibly bus services within the cities you visit (normally these are ¥100-200 per ride), and for travel up to Hakone. For Hakone the Japan Rail Pass will get you as far as Odawara, but from here you will need to use the non-JR lines operated by Odakyu to get up to and around Hakone itself. I recommend the Hakone Free Pass which gives you free access to all the Odakyu lines, funiculars and cablecars in the area for 2 or 3 days. You can purchase this on arrival at Odawara station.

Hope this helps!
