Hello please help me decide if I should get a rail pass and if there are stations where we plan to go?
We are arriving Kansai airport on April 6... 2 adults and one child 9 years old
Kyoto on April 10
Nagano on April 11
Tokyo April 12
Fuji 13 -14 but may ride a private car

While my mother and brother
Arrive KAnsai April 6
Kyoto April 10
Nagano April 11
OSaka April 14

Hi Ann,

Yes, the JR Pass will get you to all the locations you need (your map, your mothers map).

Please note that for Fuji, the JR Pass will get you as far as Otsuki (for Kawaguchiko) or Odawara (for Hakone). From here you'll need to use non-JR lines for the last leg.

As you'll be in Japan for a while, I recommend you use the JR Pass from the 8th, and use smaller tickets such as the ICOCA+Haruka deal to get into Kyoto from Kansai Airport.
