Hello! My family and I are traveling to Japan mid-june this year, and we're wondering if we should get the JR pass?

In our case, we'd have to get a 14 day pass for the four of us, which seems pretty spendy. The trains we'd be taking our from Narita to Tokyo, then five days later Tokyo to Kyoto, then four days later to Arima, and then two days after to Kansai. So four train rides over two weeks. IS it worth the cost?

Hi there,

For this trip I would stick to buying normal train tickets when travelling. The amount of distance you cover is limited and a JR Pass would need more travel in order to be viable.

Hope this helps,
