If I travel from Shinagawa to Nagoya by non reserved seat on shinkansen hikari (without JR pass), but would like to use suica card.

How much will be deducted from my suica card? (¥6260 or ¥10880).

Thanks in advance,
Prawit

Hi there,

Suica can't be used for the Shinkansen, you'll have to purchase a normal ticket beforehand.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thanks for your reply.

It means that I have to buy a ticket cost ¥6260 for non reserved seat, is it right?

Prawit

Hi Prawit,

A one way ticket will cost ¥ 10,360 for a non-reserved seat. When looking up ticket prices, look at the Total in Hyperdia, not the fare/seat fee.

All the best,
Daniel
