Hi,

1 - I will be travelling from Shinjuku to Osaka (Nanba OCAT) in two weeks and I am struggling to find the best itinerary that only includes trains I can take with the JR Pass.

2 - I will be in Kyoto on May 20th and have to get my flight in Tokyo (Narita) early in the morning of the 21st. My plan would be to take as late a train as possible on the 20th and go straight to Narita to finish the night at the airport.

Could you please advise me as to what is the best itinerary using the JR Pass?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi there,

1.) You can use the JR Pass to travel to JR-Namba station, just use JR-namba to search in www.hyperdia.com and you'll find every route covered by the JR Pass.

2.) You can use the Shinkansen from Kyoto - Tokyo, there use the Yamanote line to Hamamatsucho from where you can use the Tokyo Monorail to Haneda station. Service stops around midnight, so I would take a train around 7 pm from Kyoto.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
