Hi! We're planning to have an overnight stay within the area of Mt.Fuji but we're a bit confuse on what JR pass (Shinkansen pass) can we use for our trip. From Nagoya, shall we alight at Lake Kawaguchiko or better in Hakone? What JR pass shall we buy? Thank you!😃

Hi there,

Are you starting in Osaka and finishing in Tokyo? In that case you would basically travel a one way between both cities, Nagoya and Hakone are both direct stops on the route.

I do recommend Hakone, instead of Kawaguchiko, because its much easier to access.

A JR Pass could be a big help if you make at least a return Osaka Tokyo.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
