I will be joining a tour from Singapore that ends in Osaka. I wish to take a train, could you suggest one way train ticket perhaps Hikari/Kodama from Osaka to Tokyo and give me the details of where to catch the train from Osaka. I would like to extend one day in Osaka 11 Dec 2016 could you recommend me a budget stay for one night only for a family of 5 that is nearby the subway please. Thank you for the trouble.

Hi there,

Shinkansen trains from Osaka depart from Shin-Osaka station, generally there is one Hikari service every 30 minutes.

I don't recommend accommodations in general, as everyone has their own wishes and budget. In general its smart to search on a general booking website with your own requirements and then read travellers reviews.

Have a good trip!
Daniel

Dear Daniel,

Thank you for your reply. For this one way Osaka to Tokyo does this mean I can only purchase the JR ticket from Shin Osaka only? Or I can buy in any JR station in Tokyo also? Thank you.
