Hi!

I will be travelling to Japan in October for 9 days and I would like to know if I will need to purchase a JR pass if i'm only travelling from Narita > Osaka > Tokyo > Narita?

Thank you

Hi there,

I do recommend a 7 day JR Pass for your itinerary. The pass itself is almost the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka using the bullet trains. Now you can 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price and it is easy to make savings with it, even if you use it for a one way from Narita - Tokyo.

Hope this helps!

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your prompt assistance! Another question, as the JRP is 7 days and my trip is 9 days and I will be activating the pass on my 1st day. What would you recommend for me to get for my trip back to Narita airport on the last day?

Thank you for your help.

Hello again!

The best way to get back to Narita Airport would simply be to buy a normal train ticket.

There are also budget options available such as the 1000yen bus

Hope this helps too,
