questions & answers: using the japan rail pass

narita airport to fukuoka

I will be travelling for the first time to Japan, I would like to know if I buy 7 days JR Pass will it cover my trip from Narita Airport to Fukuoka and back?

How about the transfers is it already included in the JR Pass for 7 days?

Does the JR Pass for 7 days is consumable depending on the ticket price of my destination or it can be simply used in any part of Japan for 7 days without extra cost?

Hope you could enlighten me.

Hello there,

The JR Pass covers all JR lines nation wide and you can ride them as much as you like during the validity period.

The JR Pass also covers the entire route between Narita Airport an Fukuoka (Hakata station). A normal one way tickets costs ¥ 25,080 and the 7 day JR Pass is ¥ 29,100, so you can image the savings which can be made with the JR Pass.

The route Narita Airport - Hakata station (Fukuoka) is as follows.

Narita Airport -> Tokyo with the Narita Express
Tokyo - Shin-Osaka with the Tokaido Shinkansen
Shin-Osaka - Hakata with the Sanyo/Kyushu Shinkansen.

Hope this helps,

Thank you Daniel.

I'm looking forward and excited to see the beauty of Japan.

Happy New Year!

Best Regards

Very easy, except for a lot of time on the train. BTW the Sanyo shinkensen goes to Hakata. The Kyushu shinkansen starts from Hakata southwards.

There is good info seeing Fukuoka on:
