Hi.

Can you please help me with two routes. I cannot get hyperdia to make sense.

On the 18th june i travel from hiroshima to takayama. Will all this route be included in the pass and which specific train do i have to book and the time?

On the 20th june we travel from takayama to fujisan. Same question again but how do i avoid the nozomi?

Thankyou in advance

Hi there,

Taking the train from Hiroshima - Takayama is as follows: take the Sakura Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka, there transfer to the Hikari Shinkansen for Nagoya. At Nagoya change to the Hide wide view express bound for Takayama. The route is fully covered by the JR Pass.

Here is the route Takayama - Fujisan. Note that the last part on the Fujikyu line is not included in the JR Pass.

You don't have to worry about avoiding the Nozomi, if you reserve your tickets in advance, just tell the JR Staff where you wish to travel and they will find the best route for you.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
