It will be my first time out of the US. Are there any maps or information available that indicate exactly what JR Pass trains will take me to the attractions I want to see? I would like to make my own detailed itinerary at home so I can enjoy my visit to Japan.

Hi there,
That sounds like a great idea! Unfortunately we don't have a map to shows specific directions to attractions. You may still find our interactive map useful to check what routes are included in the JR Pass.
I usually just Google a term + access + Japan, which works pretty well.
