can we use the Jr pass to Okayama?
we like to do a cycling route to the field s and nature path. Which is a better choice, Soja or Bizen? I do not cycle often, hopefully no steep slopes. or is there a bettee choice. walking in autumn time is lovely. I think cycling in the cooling winds would be better?
we will be coveeing osaka, kobe, kyoto, nara and has an extra day. can someone please suggest a day trip from kyoto? we enjoy nature trails ., gardens or flowers?

You don't say from where. If it is a JR line, then you should be fine.
You are basically describing the same place - the Kibi Plain. It would make a very good half day or day outing. The other big choice would be the Shimanami Kaido - it would be more intensive and longer, but if the weather is good, offers far better scenery as well as one of Japan's wildest temples, Kosanji.
There are too many to mention. Near Kyoto City are Kibune, Kurama, Hiei, Takao, Miyama, Amanohashidate, and Nara has tons of hiking, such as Yoshino.
