Hi, I wanted to ask if is possible to take a direct shinkansen train to Kyoto from Kamata Station and if this is included in the jr rail pass, could you also tell me the departure times on the morning of April 24, 2016 from Kamata station? Thank you very much

Hi there,
Not to offend anyone but Kamata is a rather small station and there are not Shinkansen trains that stop at it. Even so, you can use the JR Pass to travel most of the way by Shinkansen there.
You can use www.hyperdia.com, to find the exact schedule/time table.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
