Hi everyone, I'm planning to go to Nagano, Hokkaido, Hiroshima, (Maybe going to Okinawa as well), Kyoto, Osaka, Kumamoto and Oita (Kyushu Island), mt fuji area....

the problem is I'm confused with the JR pass. Im not sure if the JR PASS includes all these areas.

14 day JR Pass: $393.00

It says ....The Nationwide Japan Rail Pass is for you if...

you want to travel the whole of Japan (the whole of JAPAN)
you are traveling for 7, 14 or 21 days
you need nationwide shinkansen bullet train travel
you want to use all non-bullet JR trains
you want to use the Hiroshima-Miyajima ferry
you don't need the Nozomi or Mizuho class 'commuter' bullet trains
you are looking for the best value Japan Rail Pass

so if i purchased the $393.00 JR PASS.. i can go to the places i wanna visit using the JR PASS ?

how bout the JR WEST pass (SANYO and KANSAI)?? Its confusing.

Is it another type of JR pass? please help me. i don't want my JR PASS limited to the West side of Japan only.

i wanna go to Nagano, Hokkaido, Aomori using JR pass as well.

Thank you very much :)

Hello there,

Yes the JR Pass will cover to all the places you wish to travel to (that is excluding Okinawa). The JR Pass is the only pass which covers all areas of Japan and the other pases are limited a certain area.

We have a great map showing all JR lines covered by the pass.

I think it will help you understand what is covered, it's a lot!

Hope this helps,
Daniel
