hi everyone i want to go to Japan next year with a friend but what i want to know is do we need a JR pass or just a regional
we want to go for 10days and just stay in the area of tokyo like shibuya akihabra shinjuku and just take a general tour around tokyo (we are not that adventurous) as it will be our first time going to Japan are there also any recommendations to any tourist hotspots outside tokyo to go sightseeing any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,
Normal ticket will work fine if you just stay around Tokyo.
A JR Pass is recommended if you can travel between Tokyo - Kyoto and make a return. The cost of the pass is about the same as a return ticket.
For a couple of day trips, think about Yokohama, Kamakura, Nikko and Mt. Fuji.
