Hi. We are a family of four (2adukts & 2 children) travelling in Japan from 21st may to 3rd june. Was wondering if we should buy the JR pass for 14 days for the above itenary and if that will include the cost of the bullet train from Tokyo to hakone to Kyoto and back to Tokyo. Pls advice. Thanks in advance.

Hi Tushita,

Using a 14 day JR Pass for the above itinerary would not help you make savings compared to purchasing normal tickets.

However a 7 day JR Pass is a great option if you can cover the return to Tokyo with it. I suggest using normal tickets if that would not work.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
