JR Pass Fare

Hi there,

The JR Pass is a one time purchase and is good for nationwide travel. We have a great map here with all lines included. Travel between Tokyo - Kyoto on the Shinkansen is also included. You can either just show the pass and take a non-reserved seat, or reserve a seat free of charge in advance.

Do note that the JR Pass does not cover every kind of transport, for instance the Metro is not included.

Hi, I have another questions...You know I need to know details before proceed with my purchase.

1. Can I use JR Pass in Kyoto city?

2. Can I use JR Pass in Tokyo city? For example from Shinjuku to Shibuya...is there any trail?

Hi again!

1.) The JR Pass can be used on local JR lines in Kyoto, these are handy to access places such as Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama and Uji. Other parts of Kyoto can't be reached using the JR Pass and would require other transport.

2.) There are many local lines in Tokyo you can use with the JR Pass, such as the JR Yamanote loop line that stops at many important station in Tokyo, including Shinjuku, Shibuya, Tokyo station, Ueno, Ikebukuro, Harajuku and so on.
