Hi
Plan to travel in April 2016 from Narita Terminal 1 to Kyoto (2nights) follow by visits to Arashiyama, Takayama (1night), Toyama (2 nights), Tateyama, return to Toyama then finally to Tokyo (Nippori station) for 3 nights. Does JR pass convenient for use? I'm new to Japan. Thanks!

Hello there,

The JR Pass will work very well for your itinerary. You can use it for rail travel for nearly all the places you visit and make great savings at the same time. The JR Pass is also very convenient as it serves as single ticket for all your travels.

Note that travel between Tateyama and Toyama is not included.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
