I will be flying into Narita - getting the train from the airport to Nagoya - have three days going to Suzuka circuit and back to Nagoya - and then returning to Narita - is it better value to get the the 7 day JR rail pass as opposed to individual tickets? Is it worth getting the first class pass or will those seats only be available between Tokyo and Nagoya?
Thank you so much for your help.

Hello there,

While traveling from Narita Airport - Nagoya and back costs a fair amount, it is not enough that you can make savings with the JR Pass. So for now I would advise buying individual tickets, unless you plan on extending your travels and visit Osaka/Kyoto as well.

There are Green Seats (1st Class) between Narita Airport - Nagoya available.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you so much Daniel - would three return journeys between Nagoya and Suzuka in addition to the Narita/Nagoya journeys make the JR Pass worthwhile?

Hi again!

If you use the JR to travel to Suzuka, then you can make nice savings over normal tickets.

A return ticket to Suzuka with the JR is 3,000yen. x3 =9,000yen + return Nagoya - Narita Airport 27,520yen for a total of 36,520yen or 7,410yen in savings.

Hope this helps too :)
Daniel
