Hi was wondering which pass is best for our itinerary.
There is some flexibility except for the day we plan to go to Kyoto.
Not sure if a JR 21 day or combination of passes would be better.

japan rail 14/21 vs combination Regional Passes
Hi there,
I think a 14 day JR Pass will work well for you here. You can use it from 03/09 to 03/22. This would be the period that you travel the most and the JR Pass would cover travel between all the places you want to visit. Then you can use local tickets or day passes for the remaining days around Tokyo. Travel around Tokyo does not cost a lot by itself.
Looks like a fun trip!
Daniel
