Hello, I'm not sure what would be more worth it if I save money on just purchasing a 7-day JR pass or a 14 day one... here is my itinerary

11/5/16 - Tokyo Narita Airport
Tokyo for6 nights
11/11/16 - Planning to head early morning to travel to Osaka for two days
Then head to Kyoto to stay for two days.
Leave Kyoto straight to Narita Airport on 11/14/16 to get there by 9:00AM.

Also, IF you do suggest that a 7-day pass should be better.. when do you think I should activate it? And about how long will the train take from Kyoto to Narita Airport? That way I would have an idea when to leave as well.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi there,

The JR Pass is best used for longer routers, think of Tokyo - Kyoto and Kyoto - Narita Airport. You could use a 7 dya JR Pass for this and make good savings at the same time.

Do note that there are no night trains and I would recommend returning to Narita the night before if you have a flight out at 9 am.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
