does jr rail pass covers any train in a places itself : like tokyo...includes all local train too

i really very unfamiliar with the usage of the pass thoroughly even i try to do all reading online.

Hi there,

Yes the JR Pass covers the train to Hokkaido and all JR lines in Hokkaido as well, this includes the super fast Hayabusa Shinkansen to Hokkaido.

Some nice places to make a stop over at between Tokyo - Sapporo include, Sendai, Hirosaki, Hachinohe and Hakodate.

Either a 14 or 21 day JR Pass would work very well. The 21 day JR Pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Sapporo so either way you'll make great savings. I would advise a 14 day JR Pass if you can be in Osaka before it expires, otherwise go for a 21 day JR Pass.

The JR Pass also covers local JR lines, this is especially useful in Tokyo and Osaka.

Hope this helps,
