We are in Tokyo 6 nights. The Kyoto 6 nights in which time we want to do a day trip to Hiroshima.
Is a 7 day pass or a 14 day the better deal. Is there much point having this pass for the week in Tokyo.

Hi there,
I would advise using a 7 day JR Pass if you can cover Tokyo - Kyoto and Kyoto Hiroshima (return) with it.
Local travel on JR lines is covered by the JR Pass but does not cost a lot and the JR Pass is best used on longer distances.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
