Hi there,
I'm so confused after reading too much in regards the rail pass so I was wondering whether I can get some real info with real people talking.
I'm arriving to Tokyo from Narita airport on 24/3/15. Staying in Tokyo for 3days.
Moving from Tokyo to Fujikawaguchico - staying there for 2 days.
Moving to Kyoto - staying 3 days,
Moving from Kyoto to Nara and Osaka
Moving to Yokaghama - staying 3 days. Moving to Tokyo ,staying in Tokyo for 3days
Moving from Tokyo to Narita airport 07/04
Total stay from Narita airport then back 14 days.
Is it cheaper to get the JR rail pass or just get the individual passes (14 days altogether)?
Thanks for any input here.
Is it better to buy the JR Pass?
Hello there,
I checked your itinerary for the best option and would recommend a 7 day JR Pass. You could use it for travel between Tokyo - Kyoto as well as for travel to Nara, Osaka and Yokohama. This would allow you to cover the otherwise expansive Shinkansen trips in addition for local travel. The JR Pass would also serve as a single ticket for this period, making it very easy to travel around.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
