Dear Danial San, We will stay n Tokyo for 6 days then go to Kyoto, Osaka, may be to Hiroshima. From all of information I read, I realised that may be we should just purchase a 7 days pass and start using it from Tokyo on Monday morning to Kyoto, Osaka ended on Sunday 12 Mid night? Because we can buy a subway ticket while we are travelling in Tokyo. What is your advise.

Hello there,

What you are writing is how I would do it as well. A JR Pass is best used for the longer trips, such as Tokyo - Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima. While local travel within Tokyo does not cost a lot compared on longer travels.

So if you can make the return to Tokyo within 7 days, then I would simply use a 7 day JR Pass. At the same time, you'll do plenty of travel and using a 14 day JR Pass would still give you savings compared to purchasing normal tickets.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you. We will only travel from Tokyo to Kyoto. osaka Nara and Hiroshima one way only. We will arrive Tokyo but fly out of the country from kansai Airport. That is why i planing to jusy buy 7 days pass instead of 14days. I planing to buy Hakone free pass and Tokyo 72 hours subway and metro bus pass. What is your suggestion.
