Hi Daniel San,

From getting one place to another, how do we purchase tickets if we are taking a jr train, followed by a city metro? Do we have to tap out of the jr station and purchase new tickets for the metro?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Each transport company within Japan requires a different ticket. This means that you have to buy a seperate tickets if you for instance transfer from the JR to the Metro.

Many stations have a ticket gate where you transfer from one part to the other part of the station.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
