Hi! I'm going to spend 10 days 9 night this coming August which covering 2 nights Osaka, 3 nights in Tokyo, 1 night in Hakone and 3 nights in Kyoto.

DAY 2: Osaka Castle - Hozenji Yokocho Alley - AMERIKAMURA, SHINSAIBASHI SHOPPING ARCADE and DOTONBORI

DAY 7: Kyoto
DAY 8: Higashiyama District - Kiyomuzudera Temple - Kinkakuji - Sagano Bamboo Grove
DAY 9:The Sagano scenic railway - Fushimi Inari Shrine
DAY 10: Kansai Airport
I will be reaching Kansai International Airport late about 11pm and concerns are :
Thank you for your help!
What are other choices of transport that i can take in case my flight delay ? Arriving late @ Kansai airport can be a little tricky, trains run until 23:32 and there is little to no public transportation available until the next morning. It is best to book a hotel near the Aiport in event of a plane delay.
Shall I kick start of using my 7 days JR pass once I reach Kansai Airport to my hotel in Osaka? It is not ideals but I would do so if you otherwise don't have a use for it later on. This way you can maximize your savings.
In that case, what would be other mode of transport that I can take back to airport on last day? There are a couple of Transport methods available from Kyoto. My favorite is the Haruka Express, which brings you directly from Kyoto station to Kansai Airport, this however can be a little expancive at 3,000 Yen. Alternatively you can take the Shinkaisoku from Kyoto station to Shin-Osaka and transfer there to the JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service which is ¥ 1,830. Additionally you could take the Airport limousine which is around 2,500Yen from Kyoto.
There are a few passes around but which one suits my case the best? I think you may find a one day bus pass in Kyoto useful, this is just 500Yen and you can travel around all day.
