Hi
I understand that there is a Holiday Rapid Mt Fuji 1, that operates from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko (Mt Fuji Areas).
Is this cover by the JR Pass?
How can I get more information regarding this?

Hi Thomas,
The JR Pass covers this trip, however an additional fee is required. This is because part of the route is covered on the Fujikyu line between Otsuki and Kawaguchiko. This fare is 1,140yen/one way.
I have heard reports that this is not always collected so you may be lucky, however the official rules would have you pay this fare. Its generally collected on board or when you arrive.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
Hello Daniel.
Thank for your information.
Sorry for another qustion.
When I used the HyperDia timetable to check the connection between Takayama - Nagoya - Kyoto, it appear that only Shinkansen Nozomi is available - which is not valid for JR Pass.
Is there another connection with valid Shinkansen ride.
Is there another better means to check JR train connection between destinations?

Hi Thomas,
When searching Hyperdia, remove the NOZOMI / MIZUHO /
HAYABUSA (SHINKANSEN) search option. This way you will find JR Pass covered Shinkansen like the Hikari between Nagoya and Kyoto. The rest of the route looks good.
All the best,
Daniel
Thanks Daniel
This information is very useful.
Many thanks
