We arrive in Tokyo.
2nd day- Nikko (round trip from Tokyo))
4th day -Kamakura (round trip from Tokyo)
5th day Tokyo-Kyoto
8th day Nara (round trip from Kyoto) 12th day- from Kyoto to Kanazawa
13th day Kanazawa to Takayama
15th day Takayama to Tokyo via Matsumoto and Nagoya
We have a total of 15 days. It is not clear if it worth to buy JRP or not?
Thank you in advance for your advice.

Hi there!

I made a list of ticket prices to see if a JR Pass would be of use.

Tokyo - Nikko (return) ¥ 10,860
Tokyo - Kamakura (return) ¥ 1,780
Tokyo - Kyoto ¥ 13,220
Kyoto - Nara (return) ¥ 1,380
Kyoto - Kanazawa ¥ 6,710
Kanazawa - Takayama ¥ 4,180
Takayama - Matsumoto ¥ 11,200
Matsumoto - Nagoya ¥ 5,870
Nagoya - Tokyo ¥ 10,580

For a total of ¥ 65,780 or ¥ 20,680 in savings as the 14 day JR Pass is ¥ 45,100. So I do think that a JR Pass would be of good use :)

Hope this helps!
Daniel
