We arrive at Haneda Airport at 5am on a Friday, and need to exchange our JR voucher before traveling by bullet train to Kyoto. Can you advise which office is best to exchange at given the early time, and how to reach that office, and most efficient way to reach Kyoto?

Hi there,
It depends on how early you arrive but you basically have two options.
1.) The Exchange office at Haneda opens at 7:45-18:30. You can exchange your pass there and reserve tickets to Kyoto. However you would have to wait until the office opens.
2.) You can buy a one way ticket to Tokyo (around ¥ 580/30 minutes) and exchange the JR Pass at Tokyo station from 7:30. This way you can get some of your travel out of the way and arrive earlier in Kyoto.
