Hi,

Seek your advice for my itinerary to Hakkaido on Aug'16.

Day 1 : New Chitose - Noboribetsu
Day 2 : Noboribetsu - Mororan - Lake Toya
Day 3 : Lake Toya - Hakodate
Day 4 : Hakodate - Otaru
Day 5 : Otaru - Tomamu
Day 6 : Tomamu - Sapporo
Day 7 : Sapporo
Day 8 : Sapporo - New Chitose

Question:
(A) Should I purchase JR Pass or purchase local ticket? (B) JR Pass or JR Hokkaido? (C) Any comment on my itinerary above? (D) Is it able to slot in Furano (Farm Tomita)

Thank you.

Hi there,

Since you do all your travel within Hokkaido, it makes most sense to look at using a JR Hokkaido Pass (these can be purchased locally).

You could visit Furano but it would mean dropping something else, as Furano is in a different direction than your other visits. A bit more time in Sapporo could also be nice.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
