Hi Mika,

May I ask what your plans are at Mt. Fuji? (Climbing, visiting the are, Fuji viewing etc). There are several ways to visit Fuji, most people visit Fuji 5 lakes for the beauty of the area and the amazing view of Fuji. I would also recommend reading the Fuji wiki travel page to get oriented.

I can give you the route best suited for your plans if you let me know what they are!

Hi Mika.

Getting to Fuji five lakes is a pretty forward route. From anywhere in Tokyo travel to the station called Otsuki, here you can take the Fujikyu line to Fuji five lakes. This last part is not covered by the JR Pass and will cost 1,100Yen.

I hope this helps!
