Hello again,

I'll be going to Japan soon and I'm a bit lost when it comes to transportation and the various stations. I already purchased my JR Pass, which is a start but need some advice!
I'm heading to Osaka first then to Mt. Fuji. I booked a hotel where they do shuttle bus pick-up at Kawaguchiko Station.
Does anyone know the best/fastest way to get there? For reference, my closest station is JR Namba.

Any advice would be great!

Cheers!

Hi,
Well, you'd need to get to Shin-Osaka to catch the bullet train. There are 2 ways you can do it, neither way is really great. One is solely on the pass, but it'll take you about 5½ hours with about 4 transfers to get there. The last hour will be on a Fujikyu limited express train costing about ¥2500. The other choice is taking the bullet train to Mishima Stn from Osaka and paying for buses to take you around Mt. Fuji.

Visiting and staying at Hakone would be a lot easier, but it is up to you.
