Hello,
me again so confused with the JR pass used in Tokyo.
I will stay at my friend house in Kanagawa ( near aiko ishida station). I plan to buy a 7 day Jr pass for 5 day trip in Tokyo. But I can't find any routes from Aiko Ishida that covered by Jr pass, all by Odakyu line.
http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi/en/search.html?dep_node=AIKO-ISHIDA&arv_node=SHIBUYA&via_node01=&via_node02=&via_node03=&year=2016&month=06&day=07&hour=14&minute=37&search_type=0&search_way=&transtime=undefined&sort=0&max_route=5&faretype=0&airplane=off&ship=off&sprexprs=off&sprnozomi=off&bus=off&lmlimit=null&search_target=route&facility=reserved&sum_target=7

If that my Jr pass will no longer take advantage?
One more question, is it Ok to travel inside Tokyo with Jr pass, or should I buy Tokyo metro underground ticket? At the moment I got a headache which pass I should buy so please kindly help me.
Thanks.

Hi there,

The Odakyu railway is a privately held company and does not accept the JR Pass. However Aiko Ishida station is only 2 stops away from Atsugi station, from where you can use the JR Pass.

The JR Pass covers travel on all JR lines in Tokyo. The Metro however is not included.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

sumimasen,
I did try to find a route from Atsugi to Shinjuku-jr, shinjuku-new line, shinjuku gyomae...., but none of them offer the Jr Line, all are Odakyu ><
Can you please kindly guide me this ? ( since Atsugi will be the initial station for all of my trips to Tokyo, and I already bought the Jr pass)

Sorry,
Finally I can find the way by unchecking the "private railway".
Thanks a lot for your instruction.
But just another thing picked my interest, the Jr line seems to have higher price than private railway? Because the same route and the same time cost but going with Jr will cost you more than 1000 yen while going with private line only costs 500 yen ?

Hi again,

The price depends on the route and type of train traveled on. Some trains are faster or offer more luxury, hence the higher price. I can explain why if you link me a specific route.
